It seems Matt is taking advantage of his sponsor's exemptions. He is currently in 9th after 1 round in France. Three finishers in the top 10 who haven't already qualified will get invites to the Open Championship. It would be cool if Matt, who turned down his exemption to the British Open this year by turning pro, would get into the Open as a professional.
