Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Maryland

They had some good lines but overall Bardo was just brutal to listen to. Totally not objective and just poor analysis the whole way through. It seemed like nearly every foul call on either side I was just thinking “you seriously must not be watching the same replay that your camera just showed.” Pretty disappointing given how good of a game it was. I’m not sure if he’s over the hill, or just… bad at his job.

PS the refs tonight were not perfect of course but I thought they did a good job. Especially toward the end they made the decision to just not call a foul unless it was egregious and they were consistent on both sides of the play. I appreciated that, and I bet the players did too.

Bardo has always been terrible. I cringe every time I see his name listed for one of our games in Styre's handy TV schedule posts.

Bardo has always been terrible. I cringe every time I see his name listed for one of our games in Styre's handy TV schedule posts.

Bardo seems to have favorites in the games and he sees the game as if they should always triumph, get fouled and never foul, it gets boring and predictable and detached from reality.

Fortunately I rarely have to deal with his version of the game.
