Pete Nance with the Bucks and Pat Spencer with the Warriors could see action in the playoffs. Who was the last wildcat before this to play a playoff game?

I don't think 2-way players are eligible for the playoffs. Pretty sure Nance is a 2-way, not sure about Spencer.

Spencer’s 2-way contract was converted to a standard contract a month ago, so he is on the roster.
So here we are that despite all the guys that have played the one we have had that actually has made it to an NBA contract and potentially playing in the playoffs is the Lacrosse player that came to play BB for us for a year (because we had no PG) after his Lacrosse career ended. I just find it humerous

I guess NU is a developmental program after all considering Pat Spencer's career.

Pete Nance said that he didn't get serious about basketball until his junior year. That's a shame. Look at what Brooks Barnhizer became by being serious from the beginning

But what could be more Northwestern?

Pat is such a wonderful success story. He benefited a bit from GS not wanting to bring in a new player who was unfamiliar with the system, but who cares? All this guy does is maximize his opportunities.

Too bad we did not have him another year or two

Too good we had players named Boo Buie and Ty Berry to fill his place.

Spencer’s an amazing story but those two helped lead us to the NCAAs twice.

Hopefully CCC reloads in 2025 again.

So really...Who was the last wildcat before this to play a playoff game? I have no idea
Turns out it was Vic Law on Orlando, who got 4 minutes in 1 game of the 2019-20 playoffs that were delayed due to COVID. Before that it was all the way back to Evan Eschmeyer who played in 8 games for Dallas in the playoffs between the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons.

Nance didn't play in the Bucks' loss to the Pacers yesterday. Spencer may get some minutes in garbage time tonight if the Warriors pull away from the Rockets.

DNP - Coach’s Decision
Yeah, the Warriors were up by 20+ in the third quarter, and I thought Spencer might get a shot. But then the Rockets staged a comeback and got within three, only to run out of steam.

For those of you who yearn for ugly 1980s basketball, the Rockets are your team. Solid, physical defense with stagnant, anemic offense. For those of you who decry the current NBA with all its three points shots, Steph Curry is the antichrist.

The extra years we would have had would likely have been before Buie. Spence was just getting used to playing BB again and he did not have the supporting cast that Buie did

Billy McKinney in Western Conference Semifinals against Spurs in 1983.

That is my guess…

Don Adams had a nice career with the Pistons in the 70's but I am not sure if they ever made the playoffs

At the half, Spencer is the second leading scorer on the Warriors. That was not to be expected.
