Almost everyone considers Pete Nance an excellent stretch 4 who can really shoot.
I hope that Collins never again blunders as badly as he did last year when it came to Pete Nance - playing him out of position at the 5, forcing him to defend bigger players, wearing him out for no reason. He was, is and will always be a stretch 4. And we had a decent center (Young) and a raw backup (Nicholson) - it was a perfect set-up roster-wise. And Collins squandered it completely.
I only see 4 games where Nance scored 10 or less in conference last year. Not saying that Pete wasn't a good player last season or that he wasn't misused, but he was a late bloomer (wasn't a good 3pt shooter during his 1st 2 seasons) and despite his very good season overall, he still tended to not be as big of a factor too many times.
In Shurna's last season (in conference play), John was only held to 10 or fewer points just once.
Pete was held to 10 or fewer points 7 times.
