How purple do we expect the crowd to be on Sunday?

The are 8 seats in the row (purple seats) in front of my row that have been vacant for every game this year.
Would they possibly hold those seats in the odd chance that some celebrity or CEO might show up at the last minute? Considering all the money Mr Ryan has donated to support NU athletics. I would think you would want to the ready in case he suddenly was in the mood for a game. Where I generally don't like that kind of preferential treatment, in this case I just say thank you very much Mr Ryan.

Would be great to see him and Mrs. Ryan on the jumbotron Sunday.....

It will be interesting to see but I suspect that many of the Indiana fans bought tickets early. A few may bail if they can make some money on stub hub but If I was an IU fan and lived on the North Side, I'd have planed this Sunday long ago.
If you lived on the North Side, you should've been a Northwestern fan in the first place.

The seats are in 205, not the lower bowl.

Woah, sauce. I'm in 205, row II myself. Seats 5 and 6, top of the key extended. Assuming you're closer to the west aisle.

Yup, I've got the two on the west aisle. Got them this year after being way up in the north side bleachers last year, my back is very appreciative. Part of me doesn't mind that the row in front is always vacant, the seats make great foot rests.

In case people are wondering, the seats were occupied by Indiana fans who left with 6 minutes to go and we're considerate enough to leave their empty bottle of Smirnoff in the aisle.

Maybe those Indiana fans are the owners of those seats? Kind of doubt it, but if this season's team can't draw the NU fans out and they sell the seats to the opposition, makes you wonder...

IU fans will be coming out of the woodwork this weekend; a red invasion not unlike their Husker football brethren. My guess is that it'll be a pro-Northwestern crowd, but not by that much - maybe 60/40ish. We're generating a bit of a buzz of our own, though, and I'd like to think that perhaps our STH's might be a little less inclined to sell this game, and instead get out there and support the most exciting NU basketball team most of us have ever seen.
Just checking back on this original comment... I think it was 70/30 at the game, maybe even 72-73% NU fans. There were still a fair number of Hoosiers, but wayyyy less than in years past. And as is the benefit of the layout of WR arena, most of them were further away from the court. Also, the game didn't give them too much to cheer about really. Great job by the students as has already been said, but also glad for all the STHs who held onto their seats and came to cheer on the Cats rather than selling.

Sounded like 99% purple on TV but will buy your 73%. Just wondering why it looked like the Indy folks got more then the usual seats behind their bench and how the hell did those two people dressed in red get those seats behind the NU bench. How did the purple seat folks show?

not to be a cynic, but it's also possible that the STHs did sell, and the people who bought the tickets happened to be NU fans as well!
