i know this has been brough up before, please someone help

Let’s look at it from a more in depth perspective.

1) NU has lost to three teams who will be in the top 7 in the nation next week in Purdue, TTech and OU. Toughest non-conference schedule by far in Collins era;
2) Fourth loss to Creighton who is a top 25 team;
3) 2 losses to improving teams in UNL and at PSU. The UNL game could be discounted due to the absence of 4 year starter and team captain - McIntosh. Also, tough to win on the road; and
4) Bad loss by 1 on the road to Georgia Tech.

More real perspective. NU needs to have 10 or 11 wins in conference and win 1 or 2 games in the BTT. Since there are 68 teams in the tourney, teams from the 6 power conferences with 19-20 wins could slip in the tourney. Also, right now there are 4 Big 10 teams in the tourney (1. Purdue, 2. OSU, 3. UM and 4. MSU) so there are 2-3 spots still open in the Big 10. So NU is in competition with the middle tier Big 10 teams like IU, UNL and PSU who we are playing today in IU and next Saturday in PSU. So I agree this afternoon’s game at IU is very important but not necessarily do or die.

for NU to have a chance they need to win road games in the BTT, thats where the losses hurt so much is no significant road wins. IU game is big in that aspect.
