I don’t see a great NFL QB in Baker Mayfield. It’s easy to look great when your team runs a scheme to perfection like they do in Norman. In fact the Sooners are doing most of their damage with their run game and screens. It’s going to be a lot different for Mayfield on the next level where his WR’s don’t take bubble screens for 60 yards.
I think Baker gets drafted in the first round, but eventually flames out in a similar fashion to Johnny Football.

I once stood alongside Fran when both of us were much younger. He was certainly taller than 5'7" then. Are you by chance thinking of Eddie LeBaron of the Redskins just a few years earlier? That was his posted height, I believe.

Mayfield is much improved this year but I am still skeptical of how much NFL success he will have. Darnold is the best prospect I have seen at QB but he is not as advamced as Wentz and Trubisky were coming out. Rosen is a turnover machine. I’d pass.
