This is a followup to my post on the football board. NU grad Mary Beth Ellis is in the lead among pro women in Kona, HI. She is nearing the end of the bike with the marathon coming up. Took the lead with a strong move on the bike. She is a good runner so is in great shape for at least a podium finish.

Ellis is still in first by a few seconds with 3 miles to go on the bike but she will have to serve a penalty before the run. Presumably for drafting. She goes to the penalty box for, I think, 4 minutes. May kill her hopes of a win but podium still a real possibility.
