I remember our star MLB, Nate Williams, once said that we need mean players. I'm not sure but I think he used a term that started with the letter 'a'....holes'. I get what he said.
I've been watching our defense and our team over the years and we have gentlemanly players, and I love that. Solid, clean players. But, I don't mind a nasty attitude that goes along with that. I think it has arrived.
Maybe guys like Joe Gaziano and Thompson are nice fellas off the field and are the sorta guys who would walk a lil ole lady across the street, but they are nasty as heck on the field. Beastly, mean, nasty, especially Gaziano. Dare I say that this team has more tude than any defense that I can remember in our purple?
