Here’s a perfect example of the evolution in QB recruiting...former 4-star prospect and NU recruit Jack Sears just lost out in the USC QB competition. The redshirt sophomore (and presumed successor to Sam Darnell) promptly entered the portal and announced his intention to transfer. Sears had a multitude of offers including Duke, Cal, UCLA, NC, FSU, and Cornell just to name a few. My point here is don’t worry too much about 3-4 years down the road as there are always going to be QB options out there via the portal.
