Don’t know if anyone calls him that but I didn’t feel like typing his name out. The point guard for IU is one of the best freshmen the B1G has had in a long time. Not that we’ve had many. He’s dominating against Purdue. He must be shooting up the mock drafts.

Yep. He's single handedly keeping IU in the game.

I keep thinking that NU is undefeated against these two teams this year......

Indiana is taking what Purdue gives them on defense. TJD is completely overmatched against Edey, but JHS is getting good looks. Amazingly, only three Hoosiers have scored a basket so far.

Indiana and Kopp look 👀 solid! Gonna win tonight!

Purdue is rattled. Jacking 3's, Edey hasn't had a shot in the second half. IU have more poised players and the best guard on the floor.

Purdue couldn't hit the side of a barn from behind the 3-point line in the second half. It happens (we know from experience). Make a few more of those, and they've got a shot to win at the end.

He is. He makes things look so easy. He plays like a senior. There are very few players in the country that get their shot like him. And make them. And run the offense.
He's a big, athletic guard who has great vision on offense, passes well, makes threes, drives to the basket, and can hit floaters in the lane. He'll have a nice NBA career. I believe Jimmy Jackson compared him to Jalen Suggs on the broadcast tonight.

Jackson also was asked which team has been the biggest surprise has been this year in the B1G. His answer was Purdue, since they were picked 6th in the preseason.

But NU was picked 13th, and are currently 2nd. Jim, how is that not more of a surprise than Purdue?

Because Painter asked the question and it was a Purdue game. Still, he could have mentioned Northwestern in his response. No respect, I tell you!

Johnson asked him what about Northwestern. And he answered that he was referring to Purdue at a national level. And that Northwestern would get his vote at a B1G level.

He was trying to be all diplomatic.

Even on a national level, the fact that NU was the next to worst B1G team in preseason and yet 3-0 against IU and PU has to be a national surprise, Jim, no??

He was put on the spot and wanted to be nice to Painter. And then he wanted to be nice to Collins who he mentioned by name.

If you go to a national level Marquette or Kansas State might want a word. And that's just my instinct without looking anything up.
