I can’t point to one thing, but it’s crazy how much my stance on him has changed. Wouldn’t necessarily say I “like” him, but he’s a guy I genuinely used to dislike. Now I genuinely respect him as a college basketball coach. I still don’t really like him all that much, but I’ve heard enough stories about him in recent years to come to respect how much he cares about his players.
Surprisingly kinda happy for that guy tonight. He’s far from perfect and he’s done some shady shit in the past, but he’s put in the time and work. Didn’t see it coming, but him getting to the finals tonight actually made me pretty happy for him.
