Doesn't seem to be much interest/concern about Lehigh tonight. They play in the Patriot League so they got game. With Brooks out and the truism that anything can happen in an opening game, seems to me there should be some concern. They have two all-league returning players. Anyway here's a brief review.

Don't worry. TheC is worrying for ALL of us.

Good test for NU. It is an experienced team. They have a Boo-sized guard who can shoot (Whitney) and a sightly bigger guard (Higgins) who can also shoot. These are the top two scorers, so it seems pretty clear what must be done defensively.

Might see a lot of smaller lineups for NU. Their bigs don't seem to do much on offense.

They have a Matt-sized veteran big (6'11 260) named Coniff who was off the bench last year. Another experienced Hunger-sized big (6'10 240) who also came off the bench and did not do much on offense. Their other bigs are first years.

Their biggest frontcourt scoring threat might be Parolin, who averaged about 11 pts a game, but had "meh" games against PSU (26 min, 4pts, 7 reb), NC (22, 7, 5) BC, (18,8,4).

I expect one of those games that is close through the first 10, then we open a 5-7 point lead that lingers through the middle of the second half. We end up winning by 10-20. A couple of moments we get scared they might win, they make a couple of runs.

That kind of game, we don't destroy, but it ends up where it's expected.

I am going to assume this will be somewhat familiar territory for Leach. He must know at least some of these guys.

Also a great opportunity for Windham to get some good minutes. Mullins too.

Matt can get 12-15 minutes of conditioning him. Drop a few Nicholbombs and stuff anyone who tries to shoot in the paint.

Better opportunity for Hunger. Try to exploit some matchups inside. See what he learned this offseason.
