Lots of golf

Both golf teams are involved in some tough tournaments right now. The men are playing at Marquette's event at Erin Hills-- site of the 2017 US Open. The guys had a rough first round but after round 2 they are 4th place. This is quite good for this team which is playing 3 freshmen. Meanwhile, the women had a spectacularly bad first round at their home event and finished round 1 close to last place. A fantastic second round, though, has them where they belong-- right near the top of the leaderboard with USC. Tomorrow will be a big final day for both golf teams!

The ladies finished second. They are now the 5th ranked team in the country! The men finished 4th, which is excellent progress for the guys.

Really strong effort at Westmoreland by the women. Actually had a chance late in the day, but USC is very strong, with Park and Chen (two of top female ams in the world rankings). Hannah Kim stepped up yesterday paired with Annie Park. Played very well facing best player in the country.
