As a person who follows Texas football I am pleased with the USF hire. He no longer has to put up with the big hats, big cigar boosters who haunted him at Texas from Day #1.

I get the impression that Strong did a lot of the dirty work that will enable Herman to succeed immediately. Strong's 2015 and 2016 recruiting classes were outstanding.

This probably doesn't belong in this thread - but can you give details here? How was he 'haunted'? I assume those same boosters must have authorized money to make Mack go away, and must have had a role in the hire. Am I off base here?
