the laughingstock of the B1G. Nor are they the stumbling, bumbling buffoons of the ignomineous final 3-minute collapse. Nor are they the inexplicably reliable sad-sack solution to every B1G team who has struggled to get a conference "W" in their own down year. Chris Collin's 2017 'Cats will get their long-awaited NCAA Tourney bid.

This season's B-Ball 'Cats are downright good. They are a formidible hoops force in the B1G. They back down to nooooooooooooooooo-body. They deserve the attention of a legitimate conference contender - not a pretender. This is Chris Collin's Bonus Baby Team. He'lll get more ink on this "W" than any b-ball HC in NU history. And he and his team deserve every bit of it. And the baby is still not finished growing into it's own talent-laden body.

Like Mike Greenberg of Mike-&-Mike morning talk radio/TV show fame, I've been a prolific skeptic of what Chris Collins has been building over the prior 3 seasons and continues to do in 2017. 75 years of nada interest from every college basketball media guru and self-promoting pundit will do that. Well... NO MORE, BABY. I'm hitchin' a ride on the Purple B-Ball Bandwagon and I will hang it proud-&-loud on the front door of my condo.

Purple is the New Duke/Kentucky/No. Carolina Blue!!!

That was way too long-winded to read. Especially since I heard the first few sentences in your voice.

Smithee... Obviously you've never passed your obligatory speed reading class in H.S. My H.S. required every student to take a spped reading class and pass the damn thing or he didn't graduate (true requirement). It served me very well during my NU years and even more in my career (SAP - IT support).

When I read your post I did so in a very loud tone of voice to make it more realistic.

Naw. NU basketball will never be the same after this year.

I agree. But what made 1995 special wasn't that they got to a bowl game, it was that they won the damn league and went to the Rose Bowl. I'd like to see the 2016-17 MBB team win the league and get a top 4 seed in the NCAA. THAT would be special.
