Almost anything runs through the Illinois State/NU/Pitt channel. I've checked this website out for years and just about every year the path through the highest ranked one-loss team runs through the cats given our propensity to beat a few teams we shouldn't and sometimes gag on cupcakes. I guess that's what makes being a fan of NU about as interesting and agonizing as possible.

Unfortunately, they have a "Oh yeah? Well, flip it" button, and alas, Clemson can claim to be better than NU because they beat dOSU, who beat us. But we'll ignore this and rightfully claim the transitive property championship.
