On today's (Sunday) college football sports page the lead photo selected to highlight the multitude of college football games played across the country was of Northwestern Wildcat players Clayton Thorson and Eric Olson celebrating our win against Stanford. Featured prominently in the background was a stadium packed with purple clad fans and the corner tower emblazoned with the signage, "Ryan Field."

The caption read,"Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson, left, and offensive lineman Eric Olson hug after the Wildcats beat No. 21 Stanford 16-6," with the game summary giving credit to both Thorson and Justin Jackson reporting:

"Freshman Clayton Thorson ran 42 yards for a touchdown while playing turnover-free ball at quarterback, and Justin Jackson added 134 yards rushing for Northwestern."
