Kelly Amonte Hiller brought one of her most amazing coaching performances to enable our beloved 'Cats to absolutely stifle the #1 seed Maryland Turtles on a rainy day at Homewood Field in Baltimore. Final score was 16-11 in favor of NU. This gives the 'Cats their very first B1G Championship in women's lacrosse.

Selena Lasota and freshman Izzy Scane were seemingly unstoppable on offense, and Mallory Weise was outstanding on goal for NU. Just a fantastic performance by the 'Cats to take down a seemingly unbeatable opponent.

Now it's on to the NCAA wlax championships, where NU has earned a first-round bye, and as the #4 seed will face the winner of Notre Dame vs. Stanford on May 12 at 1pm Central. NU appears to be very much in the mix to win an incredible EIGHTH national championship in Women's Lacrosse!! The NCAA Championship will be decided at Homewood Field (again!) in Baltimore on May 23 - 25. (It's interesting having Johns Hopkins University as a member of the B1G, on the men's and women's lacrosse field anyway. The JHU men's lacrosse team came very close to upsetting Penn State for the B1G conference championship, losing by just a goal in overtime.)

Our team really appears to be peaking at just the right time. GO 'CATS!

Not only was MD the #1 seed in the B1G tournament, they were ranked #1 in the country and undefeated. Great. great win for KAH and NU.

She hadn't had one of those huge wins in a while. Big ones but not the huge on.

Congrats

Playing Notre Dame on Sunday after our first round bye. Good matchup for us, as we already beat them once this year.
