EVANSTON-What halftime adjustments did Northwestern make to turn around its upside-down first half against Ball State? None at all, actually.

No adjustment necessary

I'm not sure I buy that story entirely. If nothing else, the halftime allowed them to get settled enough that CT started working through his progessions better and making better judgments, even if there wasn't a major change in the offensive scheme. That didn't seem to be happening consistently before halftime.

I would agree. Beyond that, though, it seemed to me that CT threw earlier in each possession, which I thought opened up the offense.

I would also say it gave them a chance to recover from losing Mogus

I don't know if the first Vitale TD opened up the defense, but it appears that BS started giving safety to help on Vitale, which opened things up in the run game, as well as underneath and on the deep sidelines. We saw several effective completions underneath coverage to Jackson and Long, punctuated by throws on outs to receivers. The big change was a more vertical attack than attacking horizontally with screens and sprints.
