The Orlando Sentinel is again ranking all FBS teams ahead of the start of the season, profiling one team per day. I find this series a fun way to kill time before the August, although the predictions are a mixed bag: The reporter writing the articles ranked Clemson No. 1 ahead of the 2016 season, but he also ranked Notre Dame No. 4.

My guess is that we will not be reading about the Cats for another two months or more (he's currently at 102). However, two 2017 opponents have already been ranked: Bowling Green at No. 104 and Illinois at No. 120(!).

The ongoing 2017 series is at http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/college-football-rankings/. If you care, you can look at the 2016 rankings at http://interactive.orlandosentinel.com/college-football-countdown/index.html.

I really enjoy reading his comments, but I usually forget to look. Thanks

When you are ranked below Kansas......
I have a hard time thinking the Illini are that bad. It is a little insulting to the B1G. I actually hope they do much better than that. Maybe end the season ranked 99th.

Hope the 'Lovies" lose every game by at least 20 points!

I root for every other BIG team to win non-conference games except for Illini. Hoping they go 0-12.

SBNation's Bill Connelly gives an insane and advanced breakdown of every FBS team. It's amazing.
