OT: No Chores...An Article Specifically for You

As a kid I did a few chores when requested by my folks. During summer vacations while in college and law school I did some chores, including lawn mowing, car washing, etc. It was after my wife and I were married that I ceased doing chores. Generally I was working at least 6 days per week, and on my day off I preferred golf and fishing.
After we built our current house, I bought my wife a self-propelled lawn mower for Mother's Day. This quickly led to the engagement of a lawn service, and I've done no chores ever since. All of my kids and grandchildren, as well as my fishing and golfing buddies call me Chores, and have done so for many years, because I do no chores.
Occasionally, I take out the garbage and trash - but always after dark so as not to ruin my reputation.
Life is good!

Let the record show that on opening day, 2012, No Chores went to a Syracuse, N.Y., beer outlet to buy two six packs out of concern for the thirsts of the Wildcat faithful. So it is not entirely accurate for him to aver, “I’ve done no chores ever since.”

Since when is buying beer a chore?

It is not a chore. For most of the home games I pack about 15 Yuenglings in my wheeled cooler with lots of ice and take them to our tailgate in the West lot. While I share my beer with others, I drink 7 or 8 of them myself. (Well cataloged is aware of this, since he has attended our tailgate.) To suggest that this is a chore is like saying it's a chore to stop at the liquor store on the way home from the office for a couple of bottles of wine.

I was at that game in 2012. I missed out on those particular Yuenglings but have enjoyed many of those classic favorites during my visits to upper state New York (including a few visits to the Genesee Brewery in Rochester, NY). I hope to go back for a visit soon now that one of my nephews has move back to Rochester. I might even try to make a visit to “Mecca”, the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville, PA (the oldest brewery in the US).

No Chores

Indeed I have, and intend to do so vs. Akron if the welcome Mat is still out at Rolling Rocks.

Great! Of course the welcome mat is still out, as it is for all Cat fans. See you there!
