With the facilities, if Collins cant get us back to the big dance by March 2020 then he needs to go.

The facilities should definitely help recruiting...

but the recruits have to mature. You are saying that because we have a new Arena we should go to the dance next year. I hope we do, but the Arena helps recruiting for 2019 freshman and beyond. Then they have to mature as you are seeing Kopp and Nance do now. It will probably take a couple more good recruiting classes to make the program a regular contender. Maybe March 2020, hopefully March 2021, probably March 2022.

asking fans to drop thousands, yearly, and a crap ooc schedule due to not having confidence, then stinking up the Big, is unacceptable.
Nobody is stinking up the bigten. But I agree, if we are still talking about the NIT in March, 2020 then something is wrong.
I also agree with others that everyone but Collins wanted to feed Pardon. Puzzling indeed.

Go Cats!

We will be better THIS year than next year. NU’s top 3 players are Seniors. The Big is really strong this year, but NU will be in the fight for a bid THIS year as long as those 3 stay healthy. We obviously miss the true playmaker and that could be the difference. Next year will be tough but we’ll see major jumps from our true freshman.

Actually, the mods are in charge last time I checked. But if Haywood leaves this board, things get a lot less intereting, imo. So Pukecat trolling him, not the greatest of ideas...

If haywood leaves, with ignore as an option, speaks more to Haywood. I love his insight, but no individual is greater than the team :)

Yeah I should never disagree with anybody on a message board. Let’s keep everybody in agreement about everything. That’s definitely interesting and productive.

Just drink the Koolaid and stare into the Rock

this is correct IMO

next year may be tough....night is always darkest before the dawn sort of stuff

Great post. I was disheartened after the Fresno State loss but this was a solid effort. I hope they can keep up this level of play.

My concern is that for all the talk of the team’s “depth” this year, we effectively have a short rotation yet again. It’s going to be Turner-Taylor-Law-Pardon, with Kopp and Gaines coming in and out. Hopefully the team plays well and these guys can get some breathers in parts of the noncon slate.
Most teams tend to have shorter rotations as they get into their conference seasons. The reason the Frosh don't play as much as past Frosh is that we have kids in the starting rotation that are good enough that even though the Frosh might eventually better, they are not better yet. That was not true when Law got here or for Pardon until Olah got injured. Look at Gains this year vs the beginning of last year.

i wouldn't leave because of one poster. hell i wouldn't leave for 5. but i won't stick around with continued negative viewpoints ALL THE TIME.

a season like last year - i get it. not supporting a team coming together and fighting like hell and representing the university the way we all expect -then its a waste of my time.

I feel that. I essentially stopped posting a few years back. With the exception of recrtuiting news, I haven't missed anything. On any given day, there's always someone who thinks our starting PG needs to be a half-step quicker, another person who thinks our rotation is too short, and two knuckleheads debating BC/CCC lol

Dang! That’s harsh!

Haywood - don't think people would have had an issue if the 'Cats had lost due to IU just hitting some great/tough shots down the stretch.

But in this case, it was an issue of strategy.

Get the ball to the guy who was being a force in the paint all game in crunch time, instead of keep taking jump shots which really weren't falling for the 'Cats.

Or, in lieu of that, drive to the basket (the 'Cats relied too much on jump shots that game).

Langford's drive to the basket late in the game was the dagger the 'Cats couldn't overcome (due to their mini scoring drought).
