So, we lack a natural point guard. Will we have one we can count on next year, and the year after that? No way to know, I guess.

Which gets me to wondering: is there anyone on the team now or in the pipeline who could become a point forward? You see it now and again in the NBA, and it's a useful scheme if you have the right talent, or some high potential guy who is heady enough and skilled enough to be groomed into the role.

Or am I simply pipe dreaming here?

Well, I think NU is running that experiment right now with Turner. So the answer is "No".
