Let’s dream and imagine that Northwestern University didn’t sign away its football program over to Pat Fitzgerald for a decade. Let’s imagine that University could actually hold Pat Fitzgerald and his staff accountable for underperformance the same way that the other 129 FBS schools can.

Idea #1:
ND OC Tommy Rees-pretty sure he wants to go to the NFL, but his family does have ties to Northwestern/Evanston. He’s been recruiting the type student athletes Northwestern wants for some time and has a strong offensive mind

Idea #2
SIU HC Nick Hill: Has done well at the FCS level with the Salukis

Idea #3
Joe Judge Offensive analyst NE Pats: I see him as a young Pat Fitzgerald type with more coaching acumen

Idea #4 Matt Nagy QB coach KC Chiefs: Brilliant offensive mind with ties to Chicago from the Bears

Idea #5: Paul Chryst Former Wisconsin HC
Could be our version Bielema to get the Cats back to respectability.

He just doesn't speak like Turk.
It’s not Turk and he may be a troll. But he has a point.

If Fitz isn’t willing to acknowledge reality, at some point in the future we’ll need a change. Lou’s article crystallized one point for me: we’re definitely back to Dark Age level football based on the last 18 games.

If we continue to look this bad for the next 6 games, drastic changes need to be made.

My favorite young head coach is a different former Wisconsin player: Sean Lewis. Kent State’s football coach has really impressed me, particularly with his offensive innovation and his stones. They gave Georgia as good a game as anyone this season.

I also heard he’s a high character guy. He’s worth a look if Fitz really thinks his shits don’t stink.
