Renewal Time: East Lot vs. West Lot

As it's season ticket renewal time, it's also time to choose between East and West Lots, so I thought I'd re-engage this age-old debate.

I've been an East Lot denizen for many years, but I'm thinking about switching over to West Lot. To my mind, there are pros and cons to the East Lot:

PROS:
More exclusive -- a "tougher ticket"
Quicker to get parked and set up
Much smaller, so easier for friends to find you
My seats are on the East Side, so much quicker seat access
In better condition, at least before new rumored improvements to West Lot

CONS:
More expensive, assuming a $600 donation is required to guarantee it
Less "fun" than the West Lot, according to many
Hard to exit post-game -- not sure if same is true of West

What do y'all think? Should I give the West Lot a shot?

Yes you should, but maybe not this year. Who knows what to expect with the work they're doing on the lot.

I like to tailgate in the lot with the most potholes. It keeps the riff raff out.

Stick around for an extra beer after the game. That makes "hard to exit postgame" a moot issue.

I like to tailgate in the lot with the most potholes. It keeps the riff raff out.

Not to mention the Fence.

I prefer parking in the North Lot. It's free, but only two wheelers can park there
