There are reasons to be more optimistic about the Bears in 2017. First, they cannot get any worse. Second, Tarik Cohen looks like a playmaker. Mike Glennon did everything humanly possible of a QB to give them a win. Cody Whitehair is going to be really good. Floyd too.
But they found yet another way to lose again today. That first and goal sequence was vintage Bears. A very near miss on a catchable ball. A ridiculous drop. No go to guy in the red zone. And a sack to finish them off. Add on the blown coverage on the 3rd and long from the Falcon 12 that gave them a TD and I had flashbacks from the previous twenty years.
There are no moral victories in the NFL. A handful of plays by playmakers over the course of a season separates 6-10 from 10-6. They need to find a way to finish.
