Multiple sources reported this week that Brendan Sullivan has been ruled out for the remainder of the year due to an ankle sprain. So far no-one on the Iowa boards has blamed Robert Fitzgerald. Maybe we can finally focus future discussions on the quarterback position at NU to the kids who have chosen to stay and play for the Wildcats? :)

Injury was always going to be the issue with him. I think he was hurt both in 2022 and 2023 at some point. He likes to run and does not seem to like to avoid contact to the degree that a starting QB needs to in order to make it through a season.

Sorry to hear that about Sully no one wants to see anyone get hurt, however one of his big drawbacks here at NU was he couldn't stay healthy and he really did not play a ton.
Lausch, Boe, Gray and hopefully soon Romain and Obrien are our guys. Go Cats.

I don’t care to discuss Sully either, but bringing him up in a new thread doesn’t necessarily help in that endeavor.

Unfortunate. I too am happy we won't have to deal with the constant Lausch vs Sully comparisons, largely from people who have no idea what led to Sullivan's departure.

Hopefully the kid will learn to protect himself. There's being willing to take some contact over the middle for key yardage, and then there's just taking hits for no reason along the sideline, nowhere near the sticks, etc. He doesn't have the size or durability to just take shots all day and a QB needs to be on the field and ready to go every snap.

Kid can't catch a break. Course he has been injury prone since he arrived at NU

Sullivan wasn't going to make that much of an impact if he stayed here, plus he is a Hawkeye now. Why keep tabs on him? It is a shame he got hurt, but he isn't a Cat anymore. He has no impact on NU football, thus no need to keep bringing him up.
