A bunch of Northwestern season previews are starting to pop up on different B1G school fan sites. The one linked below at Inside The Hall (Indiana site) includes a podcast interview with Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune.

The host and Teddy discuss Northwestern's big 2016-17 season, expectations for this coming season, playing at All State Arena, moving the B1G Tournament to MSG and other sites, the future of CC at Northwestern, etc. Greenstein has some interesting takes on all subjects, but I thought that his point of view on CC's future at NU was interesting...

Paraphrasing: Teddy thinks CC will stay at NU for the long haul. The NBA isn't a draw because the NBA was his dad's thing and CC wants to set himself apart. Replacing Coach K isn't that attractive because whoever follows a legend (in any sport/school) has 90% chance of winding up being labeled a failure. Further, NU's poor history gives CC some breathing room (as we've seen with Fitz) in that he can survive a bad spell without worrying about getting fired, whereas a new coach at Duke might get fired if he misses the NCAA Tournament once. Teddy said that he has discussed some of these things with CC personally, so his POV seems quite well informed.

Anyway, decent NU season preview and solid interview with Teddy linked below...
