Tuck is…

Was it in the school newspaper?
USA Today.

So the best way MSU fans and Tucker can spin this is "married coach had consenting phone sex with a rape survivor/advocate"

and the worst lense, which appears in USA TODAY is that he unprompted pulled his junk out and diddled himself to fruition while on the phone with a horrified rape advocate he had build a trusting working relationship with...

It's going to make my blood boil when MSU administration rallies around their coach for behavior that, in my mind, is more reprehensible and documented than what Fitz supposedly did.

Not just in your mind…in the mind of anyone with a brain.

You’re right. But an underrated part of the story is after *the* call, both sides admit MSU stopped bringing Tracy to campus. So Tucker isn’t just confessing to embarrassing behavior, he’s confessing that he chose how to use football budget for sexual harassment training based on his personal/romantic desires. At a school with MSU’s history. They do clean sweeps of administrations for this.

He doesn’t even dispute the fact that he, a married man (even if unhappy), engaged in phone sex with her while masturbating. The discrepancy is whether it was consensual. But shouldn’t really matter.

I keep asking “how ****ing dumb can these guys be?” And I keep getting “really really really dumb.”

At one point had a $95 Million buyout
MSU completed its independent (outside counsel) investigation into this sordid affair in July. So reasonable to assume it’s known everything there is to know for about 6-8 weeks.

So why did they not fire Tuck then? MSU reserved in Tuck’s contract the right to terminate him for cause and void the financial guarantees if in its reasonable judgment his conduct “tended” to bring contempt, ridicule etc. on the University. I call it the public outcry clause.

Whether Tuck’s conduct was also a violation of University policy (hearing scheduled for Oct.) - with all of that process’s due process considerations - is immaterial. Indeed, it likely becomes a moot exercise if Tuck is simply terminated under his contract for the phone sex conduct he has admitted to.

Why Sparty?

What are due process considerations? 🙄

Is "sanding the ole main mast" (as Jimmy Buffett once described) against university policy? Asking for a friend.

This is a crazy story. Agree with others - how stupid could someone be?

But there is no one silently celebrating behind closed doors more than the university. They just saved themselves a lot of money on a contract that looked like a huge mistake before the ink had even dried.

If I was Tucker I would describe the incident as self-medication for job related stress. Seems to be the go to for most men.

Key parallels indeed.

The MSU administration did not know the scope of the allegations. Per Title IX rules, the details of an open investigation are not revealed to the accused’s bosses.

So, unlike NU administration (a bunch of 🤡), MSU’s admin actually did not learn about this until it was leaked to the press.
