We could be in big trouble if he is committed to Jack no matter what.Would be a change from previous plans. He also basically said all the right things about Lausch, FWIW:

NU’s gotta get some O-linemen and some WRs and a playable TE before it needs a quarterback.
NU makes the transfer game hard, but NU isn’t going to build anything hoping that seniors come together for one joyous year then leave, repeating the cycle.
Henning came in as a soph? Let’s see if NU can sign the entire All-MAC freshman OL, and build from there.
What's left to assess??? We clearly need a QB.
You build from the line out. We had a rather poor running game this season, not just poor QB play. Braun can get the best available portal QB, but if the overall quality of the offensive roster doesn't get better, it won't matter that much. The offensive line is everything.NU’s gotta get some O-linemen and some WRs and a playable TE before it needs a quarterback.

It should be higher than fans and should be higher than Fitz's bar for transfer QBs as well.In total I took Braun’s comments to mean “we aren’t gonna take a QB (or other positions) just to fill out the depth chart, but we will/would take one if it’s truly impactful.”
Basically it feels like Braun’s “bar” for considering transfer QBs better than Lausch+Boe is much higher than fans’.
Did Covid give him an extra year? Or is it just RS and then graduating in 3?Henning was an atypical situation because he transferred in as a grad transfer with multiple years of eligibility.
