A week ago I posted this comment in response to a thread on preseason rankings:
"Outside of the Big 10, the “Nebraska Award for always being rated Preseason but not Postseason” goes to Texas, which in this decade gets its 6th preseason top 25 inclusion. It has finished in the top 25 once, that being 2012 where it dropped 10 positions from preseason. Cumulatively, it is -57 in final ranking relative to preseason. Like Nebraska, it has not finished higher in year end versus pre-season polls in this decade."
Well, at least one team ahead of the Cats should leave the top 25. I imagine Texas will be ranked preseason again next year
