Listening to the game here in Montana. Not a prayer of getting BTN in these parts. Anyway, it's been until tonight. Endless commercials interrupted by a couple minutes of actual game action. Anybody else experiencing this? How do I tell WGN that this is crap?

OMG you are in my mind!!!!!!!!!! It's awful! Since downloading the wgn app and using it the results are much better.
They're doing it again. Series of ads just as the Cats fail to convert on third down. So, I have to pick up gamecast on my PC to make sure I don't miss the play of the game. Grr! How do we complain to WGN? Why the hell should I use their app and listen (giving them extra listeners, at least one from Montana, to peddle ads) when the ads get out of control?
After all these years almost ready to give up on WGN via Internet stream. Good lord! Ball State gets in our red zone and hits a FG. How do I know? Via ESPN gamecast because of a constant stream of ads just when Ball St. got the key first down that set up the FG. Will give WGN a piece of my mind on Monday.
Although the coverage by WNUR is by students, I think it's a good alternative for listening to the game.

You could have heard me cussing the online game coverage all the way in Chicago tonight!!!! Yep it got wanly in the 4th quarter again. Just a thought WGN was also doing the Hawks game tonight and my guess is their switcher was doing the Hawks commercials during NU game coverage. It was awful!
I gave up after the first half. Is there someone at WGN to whom I can direct my complaints?
Directv gets BTN everywhere. If you are away from home at game time you can also watch games on BTN2GO. I watched the game today on Maui with BTN2GO on my laptop.
Thanks for the pre game info on BTN2GO which was available to me through my cable carrier. The internet feed was much better than last week's alternate ESPN channel which had lots of freezing and drops - though it was watchable and recordable on the TV. Tonight's though only available on the computer and thus not recordable had its issues as well but much fewer in number and less lost game time with fewer frozen frames.
I have this game recorded at home. I think I will delete it as soon as I get back.
This was happening in the last few games as well, but last night it was terrible. Does anyone know if the live WGN broadcast in the Chicago area has the same problem or is this just an Internet feed issue.
Not true. I've communicated with WGN and they appear to have fixed the problem. It only affected the web stream and mobile app. Was not a problem with the live radio broadcast.
They didn't realize there was a problem during the game last week and only found out afterwards. We'll see this Saturday, but I'm pretty sure it's fixed.
I have listened to many games on my computer via WGN and never had the bad experience you describe.
There is no doubt that a big problem existed last Saturday during the Ball State game. Read all of the posts above starting with the first.
Oh trust me Deering it was there. I was using my phone via the WGN app. It was downright awful!
Don't agree with you at all. I think Ted does an excellent job providing the color with Dave.
Are you serious? He constantly is calling the wrong player, not paying attention and is worse than Captain Obvious. I know Ted and he's a very nice and good man, but an awful analyst. I like Dave Eanet and I think they should try to get Dan Persa to do color. He is much smarter than Ted and is an NU grad.
I learn a lot listening to Ted and enjoy him.
First round draft pick and five years as an OL starter with Bears are impressive credentials. And his analysis certainly helps me understand and appreciate the game more.
The only time he might not be 100% purple is when we play Cal and that's done.
Fair enough. I still really like the Dave and Ted team covering the CATS. Listening to them while watching the telecast is night and day compared to the ESPN/BTN TV announcers whom I relegate with pleasure to the Mute button.
Problem resolved!
Synced the WGN broadcast app with the DirecTV feed and I didn't miss a play.
Not as bad as the Illinois radio network on 780 in Chicago. What a freakn joke. They were driving for the winning score, and the game cut off in favor of the Sox.
