Yup, someone really said that.
I'd like to go find it after the game.
Haas is a 21-year-old Junior. Swanigan is a 19-year-old sophomore. It was me. After attending the game at Purdue. The double teams in the first half really bothered Swanigan. I thought he chucked up too many from 3. And I thought a younger, less polished Haas looked like the better bet. Career is not over yet. Swanigan is gone to the NBA for next year. I'm guessing Haas is not. So, let's see how he develops and then where they go in their respective drafts and which has the more productive career. I will absolutely agree that I was wrong if the world ended today - but despite the gloomy skies, I feel confident about a few more sunrises.
Guess which one will be turning pro next year?Haas is a 21-year-old Junior. Swanigan is a 19-year-old sophomore.
I referred to Haas as "Robocenter" because he looks and moves like Robocop.

Looks-wise, Haas reminds of infamous mid-'90's Northwestern center Dan Kreft. I think both were/have been compared to Ivan Drago multiple times.
But centers tend to take longer to develop. Swanigan is great but fills a position where there is more competition. The mobile 7 foot center is more of a rarity and tends to last a long time. Wouldn't be surprised either wayHaas is a 21-year-old Junior. Swanigan is a 19-year-old sophomore.
