Why are you even responding to such nonsense? Haters gonna hate and rely on silly self created data points when they never strapped it on. You would have to totally biased if you think CCC did a crap job this year or lack any concept what it takes to run a program.Barnhizer hurt was way better than any other options. You should know that from the stats.
Windham has played more minutes than Clayton. That’s what matters. Also remember - Clayton has played way fewer real games this year than anyone; he deserves more real-time action to get better before we fully judge.
Mullins is improving, but he also is limited offensively - have you ever seen him take a mid-range jumper? He can only drive to the rim or do a 3-point set shot. And I guess your thinking would imply that Underwood was an idiot for totally laying off such a great player earlier this season?
The players respond to a coach they love and respect. You have no idea what passion is purely by the fact you cannot see it in spades from Collins. Collins’s recruits (even the ones who transfer, with one MK exception) all come back to see him.
Welcome back Bobby. Can always count on you when Coaches get criticized. I never ever defeat you took on the platform was the fault of the Coach. The apologists can never accept anything criticism of Saint Chris. So wonderful to have three saints as current and former coaches.
He has 18 of Nebby’s 21 first half points.Williams may pull ahead. He already has 18 points in the first half.
Yep. 30 will give him the lead.Williams may pull ahead. He already has 18 points in the first half.
Williams may pull ahead. He already has 18 points in the first half. Here's an update through the weekend. Martinelli is ahead by ONE point.

All the games we won this year were in spite of Collins.
Oh baby. So do I. I lost my mind when Marcothreelio hit that… and then proceeded to kick over one of those old square trash cans after that damn Sullinger made that tough layup on Shurna lolLogin to view embedded media
Remember this like it was yesterday
That’s very fair. Can’t really dispute that.No.
We lost at Washington in large part because Collins went with Clayton over Windham, then got himself expelled in the first half.
We blew that game against Nebraska in large part because Hoiberg made adjustments and we didn't.
Win those two games and we're 7-9 in the conference, 16-11 and still alive for the NCAA tournament.
You need to have contingency plans.
Barnhizer hurt was way better than any other options. You should know that from the stats.Right, most of this is true,
Barnhizer was hurt, played hurt, played a lot and completely broke down.
Coach Collins has to take some blame there, no?
Unfortunately, the injured Barnhizer was not a particularly good player after awhile.
I agree that the culture at NU under Collins is strong. Thats a nice change from a few years ago.
But it is pretty hard to credit Collins when guys he wasn't playing are proving they are pretty good.
This is actually a recurring theme.
Ciaravino and Windham are going to compete - that was obvious long ago.
However, Mullins has been something of a fiasco from a coaching perspective, along with the Hunger/Fitzmorris confusion.
Using Clayton over Windham seems to be an ongoing mistake.
On the other hand, inserting Ciaravino into the lineup for Berry worked well for awhile.
I'm sure this will incite howls, but I think the players have re-rallied and pulled their coach out of his personal funk after Leach went down with his injury. So I credit Nicholson, Berry, Martinelli, Windham, Mullins and Ciaravino, in that order, for carrying on with passion.
Yeah, but Collins hasn't gotten us into the tournament since.... what.... last March? Come on... that was almost a year ago. Why no appearances since then??I mean a tournament every couple of years, if you asked NU fans when Collins was hired, would have sounded INCREDIBLE and we would have taken that 10/10 times. That's basically where Collins has gotten us to as a program. At least where NU is at currently, there's still very little margin for error, a missed class or two (as the Hunger & Clayton classes look to be) will just make certain years rebuilding years for the young kids.
The hope is that with Jackson, we can increase that margin for error with NIL/admissions through transfers and better recruiting.
We are 8-2 in our last 10 games against Nebraska. I don’t think Collins and his staff have any problems with UNL.No.

Right, most of this is true,This team lost two of its top three players who happen to be both of its primary ball handlers. Barnhizer, a do-it-all player who filled multiple roles, was a huge loss. He was not only the team’s best defender but also a key figure in the identity of this team, reflecting the culture Collins has built at NU. Leach, who had been making significant strides before his injury, had figured out his press issues and was lethal in the half-court. Losing both players significantly changed the team’s dynamic.
Now, you’re starting a sophomore who was supposed to redshirt and playing two true freshmen who are still developing. Despite these challenges, the team continues to play hard and keep games close against strong opponents. In my opinion, that’s a fantastic coaching job. Navigating an offseason where 60% of your starting lineup couldn’t play, then getting Leach to adapt to Big Ten basketball and a true point guard role, only to lose your key facilitators and team leader, yet still remaining competitive and winning games with the Big Ten's leading scorer, is an incredible achievement.
My son probably paid his accountant more than his pro lacrosse salary to figure out the city and state taxes he had to pay in the cities he played gamesWonder if this could end up like professional sports where states argue if you are playing games in our state than that income is earned and therefore taxable in that state. I would think it is easy to argue that the NIL is not simply related to exposure in the state of residence.
