New Wildside leadership

Definitely not surprising. Shows how a football school can quickly become a basketball school.
Basketball is objectively a much more fun sport to watch, play, and cheer for than football.

But, personally, I would rather watch paint dry than watch a soccer game for 90 minutes.

It will be much easier for NU to field a consistent winner in basketball than football too.

New Wildside leadership

This can't be overly surprising. I assume we're talking juniors/seniors/5th years. They experienced a 4-20 record in Fitz's last two season including a winless home slate in 2022 which included a loss to Southern IL. Doubt there were many favorite moments in that season LOL.
Yes but last year they had a come from 21 down in forth quarter win. One would think that might be something. Of course they also had the couple wins over PU in BB so...

How many games will the Cats win in 2024?

As is the case with NU football each and every year, the record will depend largely on the quality of QB play. As I have almost no familiarity with Wright aside from knowing he is athletic, is playing for his third college program and has never thrown for 1000 yards in a single season, I am doing little more than throwing darts.

Four of my darts hit the target, one reasonably close to the bull’s-eye, and eight darts are embedded in the drywall, a couple of them in another room.

Shelton: More than a year later, 'shirtgate' won't go away

He probably would not get that role elsewhere. Maybe he really likes the team. He's close to home, which perhaps matters too. An NU degree is still a good thing to have.

He is not the story. He should not be put into the midst of this tempest in a teacup.
I agree with the several here who believe he should not be the focus of this kind of attention. I feel so strongly that I hereby commit to addressing his situation faithfully in response to articles and related comments until there is no more discussion of him and he is left to pursue his educational and recreational interests!

…Until his dad gets a new job at which time it is altogether appropriate to inquire whether he will alter his educational and recreational endeavors.

Shelton: More than a year later, 'shirtgate' won't go away

Wearing a shirt supporting Pat Fitzgerald immediately after he had been fired by the university for cause for something as serious a sexualized hazing was tone deaf, especially by a member of the coaching staff.

The difference now is a combination of who is wearing the shirt and the timing. For a student to support his family is very different, as is the timing. I still think it’s tone deaf, but I also support his right to express himself.
