Indiana undefeated at 7-0

Or, he has more urgency to climb to the next rung of the ladder to try to make his mark at more of a blue blood school before retiring.
Yeah, doesn’t have to worry about not finding his next next job if his next job doesn’t go right.

In this day of NIL though all a school like IU has to do to become a major player (or at least convince a coach it’s going to be a major player with him at the helm) is raise the right amount of money, and that money isn’t measured in the hundreds of millions for facilities upgrades any more

Strength of schedule

Today’s game was disappointing in so many ways that it’s hard to count. One thing that I think needs saying is (after seeing that the Maryland team the Cats spanked last week beat USC today) is that the teams NU has lost to are all pretty good: Indiana is a strong 7-0, Duke is 6-1, Wisky is a very hot 5-2, and UW is a tough 4-3. I’m not happy with the struggles the offense has had, but they have had those struggles against non-cupcakes.

Here’s hoping Henning gets back next week, that the interior OLine finds something to build on, and that next week against Iowa is a more enjoyable game.
Duke is better than expected, Indiana better, but Maryland, Washington and Wisconsin are very average B1G teams that we have to be able to compete with. We cannot have 3 offensive points outings against multiple conference opponents.

Maryland 29 - USC 28

The travel is an issue. Teams need to travel at least two days early.
I think the teams are just gonna heat o learn to manage it better, but tbh the conference needs to help them some. USC going to the east coast doesn’t need to play the noon game, 9 am their time. An east coast team going to California doesn’t need to play an 8 PM game, etc
