That was an impressive performance today in Champaign and not a fluke. They outplayed the Illini. Loads of points in the paint too which is scaring me. We better be ready to go.

At this point, and I understand that the spring portal session might be our saving grace, wondering what people think about our chances to have a reasonable record next year given we've lost a number of players and brought no one in via the transfer portal yet. Do any of our freshmen coming in have a chance to make the two deep? Wondering how other people are thinking about this given that we lost our best O-lineman and wide receivers and quarterback not to mention other key players.

While not exactly "around the corner" Syracuse is not that far. It is an hour drive, maybe two. Because of the snowstorm - which seems borderline deadly - I would not expect people to drive to there - don't do it! - but it would be indoors at a 50,,000 seat arena. I am sure they could sell it out and upstate Bills fans who cannot regularly make a game, for themit would be a big treat.

It seems absurd to hold the game at a place with 36 of snow. I am a tad bit under six feet and 36 inches is up to my "privates". The NFL should have some common sense here.

It is my understandibng that the snow is Syracuse is much less and not a danger. A few inches. Maybe I have old info from a day or two ago, if so, sorry.

Tua Tagovailoa said in an Athletic article today that he was offered $1.5 mil by an SEC school. The kid seems to be high quality so I doubt he is blowing smoke. Different world out there. NU is playing checkers.

Is there a reason for the continued delay on this announcement? We have named other offensive position coaches that presumably Lujan had a role in hiring, so I am still perplexed on why we are moving so slowly with this. The longer this takes makes me concerned something is going to fall through.

Lots of coaching movement going on now and I haven't seen Fitz in the mix for anything. Did a quick search that didn't turn anything up.

Interesting that there does not seem to be a bunch of demand for some understandable reasons, but a few years ago he was a hot candidate for NFL jobs. Normally schools are willing to overlook challenges for the right candidate.

Not sure if Fitz is trying to be active or what he wants at this point but seems a major turn from a few years ago.
