Cami Henry shutout Northern Kentucky today on 4 hits as 'Cats win 5 - 0. Still no Shellmyer though. Cami struck out nine. Assume we'll see Danielle tomorrow vs. Louisville.

'Cats win it 4 -1. Danielle pitched a scoreless 7th in relief of Boyd who got the win.
Reports of the softball team's demise may have been greatly exaggerated.
A bit delayed but the Cats split a DH yesterday. Lost to Toledo in the first game. The second game was much better as NU won 11-1 with Danielle Williams pitching a complete game. She gave up no earned runs. Struck out 6 and gave up 5 hits. So it looks as though DW is getting back on track as she has pitched well her last few times out whether she is starting or coming in to close out a game as a relief pitcher. That should bode well for NU this season.
DW and Cami Henry look like they might be a good tandem pitching this year.

Thanks! I followed both of those games online, and was glad to see Danielle beginning to round into form. Also, Cami was a great pickup in the grad transfer market.
'Cats take down #19 Auburn today 2 - 1. Complete game win for Danielle! Face #1 Oklahoma later.
NU lost a heart breaker to #1 OU, 2-1. Tough loss.
Definitely was a tough loss. But the pitching seems back, so I feel better headed into Big Ten season.
'Cats take down Weber State today 4 - 0. Danielle got the win giving up only 3 hits and striking out 10. Supple cleaned up at the end. Auburn again this afternoon and I suspect we'll see Cami Henry on the bump.
Great finish to the 2nd game of the DH as the Cats walk-off Auburn on a two run homer by Jordyn Rudd in the bottom of the seventh. Lauren Boyd came in relief of Henry and Supple and pitched shutout ball for 3 plus innings with 7 Kās and only 1 hit.
Defense played well also as Shellmeyer threw out 2 runners at the plate in the third Rudd threw out a base stealer at 2nd. Good day for the Lady Cats.

Another amazing win against Weber State today. 'Cats won it 6 - 4, scoring all 6 runs in the top of the 7th. Rudd stroked a 2 out bases loaded double to knock in the go ahead runs. Cami was a little shaky but got the win!
Still rollingā¦thatās 4 in a row. 14-8 overall. BIG Ten season starts on Friday with three against Minnesota at Drysdale Field.
Cats do it again. Hannah Cary with the walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth for a 8-7 win against Minnesota to open the BT season. Lauren Boyd with the win in relief of Danielle Williams. These Cats fight till the end.

According to the NCAA RPI rankings beginning today Minnesota was ranked 32nd. So a nice quality win for our CATS today.
Michigan and Minnesota are generally the teams to beat in the Big Ten for the Cats.
Here is the preseason poll. NU was #1, followed by UW and UNL. Minny was #8.
