Playing UCLA and Oregon on the lakefront makes sense. Not that many local alums from those two schools in Chicago although if Oregon wins the national title, there could be quite a bit of general interest in that game.

Scheduling patsies is as old as time.
They might not be patsies when we play them. We lose a lot of talent from a team that couldn't make a bowl game. The ULM game might be tougher than we think. If we can't snag some gems from the portal or NIL, next year's team might be worse than this year's!!! Sorry, but the straight up 3 star recruit collection isn't going to make us really all that better. We might luck out with finding some real diamonds in the rough, but it hasn't happened in a while.

In case anyone is wondering, as I was while reviewing this schedule, the last time NU went winless was in 1989 which happened to be my senior year at NU.

Homecoming at least will take place at home against PU. Not too many other positive signs on this slate.

We will see if any of these change to Friday or become night games, but at first look, I will likely make it to the three BigTen games. Maybe the Michigan game as well, as I will likely have a lot of Michigan friends that will be going to that game, and it would be a fun time.

I do wonder how much the season is going to go for.

I'm hoping we'll be able to retain same seats as this year.

How can anyone even make an educated guess at the Over/Under when there is so much turnover in personnel? The transfer portal has a significant impact on the roster, the full extent of which we won't know until probably April 2025.

Is homecoming confirmed?

Exactly, if we do well with the portal, we might get over.500, if not 3-4 wins.

Thanks, ideas as to when it will be. Almost no way they can push it to mid-November, right? Right!??

I'm sure homecoming will be one of the November Wrigley games. Given limited capacity at Lakeside attendees wouldn't be able to attend the games.

It's my 60th Reunion in 2025, so I plan to attend everything I can except for the football game. I will never enter Wrigley Field again.
