Anthony Walkers draft stock

Any recent leaks yet or is all the news only focused on Round One at this point?

Anyone expecting that we will see a Northwestern player drafted today?

This from a current SI Mock Draft second day projection:

No. 95 Seattle Seahawks (from Atlanta): Anthony Walker Jr., LB, Northwestern
The Seahawks could use depth in the linebacking corps. In Walker, they get a tremendous talent whose play was a bit too erratic to warrant a higher selection.

And this from The Bleacher Report - also in the 3rd Round:
  1. 88. Oakland Raiders: LB Anthony Walker, Northwestern

Personally, I would much rather see Anthony in a Seahawks uniform than a Raider.

Any real difference for him dollar wise to go seven slots higher as a Raider?

Anyone know if these payouts are current and accurate?
Somewhere I read that the 3rd Rounders get an $800,000 signing bonus.

1. All rookies get paid the minimum of $390,000 IF YOU MAKE THE TEAM. Thats $22, 941 per week for 17 weeks.
2. GUARANTEED CONTRACTS ARE only given to the top 4 rounds, very few/some in round 5. Round 5 and down, the only GUARANTEED money is the signing bonus. YES THAT IS TRUE.

3. Average signing bonus:(I may be off by a few percentage points but... you get the scope)
1st - Between $3MM and $10MM depending where in the draft order. Average, lets say, is $5MM
2nd - $1MM to $2.2MM
3rd - $700K
4th - $550K
5th - $ 175K
6th - $50k
7th - $40K

This from NFL.com for Anthony Walker:

DRAFT PROJECTION
Round 7-PFA

And this from the Washington Redskins draft site rating Anthony:

Projected Draft Status: 4th or 5th round

Both of the above were pre draft day projections. Given where Middle Linebackers have gone so far and number still left on the board, any added insight?
Based on mocks, Cunningham from Vandy and McMillan from OSU were both above Walker. Neither went yesterday, though some late mocks had moved Cunningham into the back of round one. I expect 4th or 3rd, in that order.

McMillan and Cunningham were both taken tonight in the second round, with Cunningham going to the Texans.

The Detroit Lions player just announced that his team drafted Kenny Golladay from Northwestern University. That's worthy of a chuckle. He meant Northern Illinois.

Six players from Ohio State drafted so far through the first three rounds. Wasn't last season supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Buckeyes?

Hopefully when the 4th and 5th Rounds are announced Anthony will be in them. Pretty significant drop off in the signing bonus from 5th to 6th. If it is the 5th, then best to him to "make the team" which would still get him to the half million dollar mark.

Any guesses on which team(s) with 4th and 5th round picks would most likely be looking for a Middle Linebacker position to fill that would fit the bill?

I suppose it is to much to hope that losing so much talent in two years would be hard for them to recover from.
