Like the Wildcat's mojo, 'Cat Nips will be taking the week off. Holiday weekend, scheduling conflicts, potable problems....

We'd like to take a poll of the posters, though, for the Play of the Game.

Candidate One: Coach Fitz for his "stiff arm" play with BTN sideline reporter Lisa Byington. She asked, "one of your young guys is red shirt freshman quarterback Clayton Thorson. How do you know that he is capable of handling this stage?" And Coach Fitz replied, with a toothy Wildcat smile, "let's talk postgame."

Candidate Two: On a day when Wildcat receivers were dropping passes left and right and over the middle, Clayton Thorson took matters into his own hands, literally. On 2nd and 10 at the NU 20 (it would have to be the NU 20, we never got past the Michigan 25) during the Wildcats' first possession of the second quarter, Clayton Thorson's pass was batted by a Michigan defender and caught by Thorson who was able to advance the ball back to the line of scrimmage. This is believed to be the first such quarterback-to-himself completion since the Timmy Hughes to Timmy Hughes pass against the Ohio Bobcats in 1996.

We'll announce the winner, and any outstanding commentary in our next show, whenever that may be.

Candidate One+ Fitz for shaking the Michigan players hand after he was tossed for targeting.
