I'm out here vacationing in Ojai, CA this week and they are holding the California Women's Championships, an amateur tournament, on this golf course. I noticed some girls wearing college gear and wondered if I could find any NU players. Sure enough the name Kaitlin Park rings a bell and I look her up on NUsports. She was the Big 10 freshman of the year.
Final day, she is somewhere in the top 10 and she shoots a 68 to catch the leader who turns out to be a sophomore star at Stanford and passing some good players including another frosh star from Cal.
Now in the sudden death playoff against the Stanford girl, they battle 5 extra holes until Kaitlin prevails.
