Fitz is truly a top five coach in college football! Can NU afford 4 million?

Fitz upped the anti with a ten win season. My guess is he is the most wanted coach in college football? Can NU afford four million? That's whathe is worth a year!

Congrats to Fitz on a great season. I do not think we could ever have a better coach or representative for the university. We should pay him commensurate with best coaches in the country. If we ever lost Fitz the NU job would just be a stepping stone for every coach that came here.

I'm a Fitz fan, but this is a very good season coming off two mediocre ones. I think we need a couple more before we start talking about $4 million.

10-2 will make his name start popping up in those discussions again. What schools would be interested in him? I can't see LSU going after him because he is branded right now as a defensive coach with a boring offense. They just had one of those. He also really does not match the SEC persona. Texas? I am not really seeing one of the major openings being interested in him. The middle tier openings are not much better than what he has now.

Possibly wishful thinking on my part but I do not see a good match with the present openings.
