If NU can clean up getting to the 50/50 balls. Game would be easier.

Between the bank in shot and the lose balls going right to Boise, I think that NU is really controlling this game more than the score indicates. If we didn’t get super nervous on transitions and rush shots this would be a 14 point lead.
I think we had not scored so fluidly since the game in Bloomington.
Does it seem like BSU is getting a lot of last second baskets which are quite “lucky” after good D by our crew?
Agreed, there have been multiple Boise possessions where I'm just flummoxed that the ball found the hoop

I agree. If we keep defending like this, they won't keep hitting difficult bail out shots. But tip your cap to them on a few difficult scores as the clock was winding down.
This is going well enough, nowCats have to keep scoring in the second half. I like the success inside. I’d like more defensive rebounds. Maybe after the game we can stat their second chance or more points.
Hope they keep the Verhoeven/Nicolson thing going. Let’s put the small lineup ie Beran at 5 experiment to rest. This should be a blowout but for 3 prayers and 3 defensive lapses by Beran
I thought we played pretty well that half. Boise had a few last second “just get it off” shots that went in, but good defense for the most part and I love how we’re attacking the rim.
Will be interesting to see if Shaver comes back. Hope he’s okay, but that would be a big loss for them. Looks like he stirs the drink on offense.

Jay Wright should not be on TV. You are not supposed to look that good when retired
I’ve majored in those too, and that looked like a bad one. It sucks to see a senior go down like that in the tournament on a fluke injury.
NU is dominating what looks like a dangerous team. Can they keep making shots and finish?
