Game Thread: Northwestern at Maryland

I’ve seen our runners sideways out of bounds too many times in this game. Also too many missed opportunities to get turnovers like our last punt. As I write this of course we get a turnover for a td! Cool! Go Cats!

My brother’s high school coach used to call pass plays, but he would also do a thing with his leg (like, a one footed shake) about half the time he called a pass. This meant that the QB was to call then play, drop back, and then run like hell. A called QB scramble basically.

I think NU should do that on this drive.

The D was, on fact, overmatched last week. That's not really McGarigle's fault, Indiana is probably pretty damn great. But it's a true statement, without context.
No they weren’t. They ran into an offense and a QB that played flawlessly and kept it to a 3 pint game into the 4th quarter despite being on the field for 2/3rds of the game. NU has one of the better defenses in the Big Ten.

But yeah on third down probably that.

Don’t tell anyone, but ESPN’s matchup predictor gave UMD an 88% chance of winning at kick, and now gives NU a 96% chance of winning.

No mistakes. Run clock. Party on Saturday.

They allowed 529 yards and forced one punt the entire game and forced zero turnovers, but okay then ( I don't disagree with the last sentence, but IU's O is another level).

Man, there are a lot of things to complain about with our offense, but I'm so happy that we aggressively seek out and achieve explosive plays. It's been years and years since we intentionally tried to do this.
EFFFF IT let’s chuck for the end zone here.

KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL
