A win is good but we've got a lot of work to do.
I got us started, no worries.Ok, thank god, now we can start a thread about how that was absolutely gross and we need to do better as we continue to pursue our goals, which sustained only very minimal damage tonight
Brooks Barnhizer is incredibly good
That’s why I said “sustained MINIMAL damage.” Not no damage.glad we won and obviously would rather win but close wins against bad teams hurt you in the NET rankings...
I was bummed he didn't get a heat check after hitting those back to back 3's but he sure contributed in other ways.Really happy for Ty. Hit two 3's in a row then a gigantic steal to help seal the win. Thought in the 1st half his shooting woes were starting to bother him, but finished strong in clutch time.
I will admit I have a lot of heart-on-my-sleeve or "vibes" posts during games, but I try not to be overcritical of specific players or call for them to be benched because of a couple of bad plays. I did point out Nicholson's back-to-back airball free throws, but that's only because I've never seen that happen before. The game thread is so awesome the day after the game.
There's always insightful observations, but man were there some dumb comments during the game.
Gordie, thanks for smackin some fools around a little.
A guy who shoots 35% from outside the arc is going to miss 65% of his 3-pointers....
If he misses he sucks, if he makes one he's awesome. Duh Dee Doo Duh!
Anytime the opposing team scores, I'll rant at the Northwestern player who was closest to the shooter! Dumbie Doo Dah!
You are growing on me, PWB! 😉The game thread is so awesome the day after the game.

Oh you have nothing to worry about. Who cares what I say anyhow?I will admit I have a lot of heart-on-my-sleeve or "vibes" posts during games, but I try not to be overcritical of specific players or call for them to be benched because of a couple of bad plays. I always liked him because when NU beat Purdue (which time?) fans rushed the court after the game and while most players were celebrating with the fans, he just quietly walked over to the Purdue players and shook their hands like he's supposed to. Does that make him aloof? Maybe, but it's also class.Despite the rather inconsistent free throw shooting, Matt remains my favorite player. Why? He remains the only one singing the national anthem.
Game threads are for sharing the emotions, fun, and passion of watching a game together. That involves saying dumb shit from the heart in the heat of it.The game thread is so awesome the day after the game.

So there really is no reason to actually reason with / debate what anyone says until after the game - they can / will say anything and then retract it later. Guess I did not read that in the bylaws.Game threads are for sharing the emotions, fun, and passion of watching a game together. That involves saying dumb shit from the heart in the heat of it.
Then you calm down and let your brain take back full control and think about what you've seen.
Game threads are for being emotional. Season analysis, rational.I will admit I have a lot of heart-on-my-sleeve or "vibes" posts during games, but I try not to be overcritical of specific players or call for them to be benched because of a couple of bad plays. It’s the way of a sports message board, handed down on stone tablets. So there really is no reason to actually reason with / debate what anyone says until after the game - they can / will say anything and then retract it later. Guess I did not read that in the bylaws.
That is correct. Please contact the club secretary to have your copy of the bylaws renewed. So there really is no reason to actually reason with / debate what anyone says until after the game - they can / will say anything and then retract it later. Guess I did not read that in the bylaws.
