BahahaWow, maybe they’ll throw for more than 200 yards per game for the first time since 2019.
But I doubt it.
If he sticks around, he can probably start in another bowl game.We have our QB and Iowa is not on our schedule next year, so it will be interesting to watch what happens to Iowa. Will Sullivan transfer to get playing time at some G5 program?
Sullivan runs from competition - as we saw with us. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t bail on Iowa.Sullivan was quoted well before any Gronowski talk saying he was not shying away from competition or something like that - assuming this meant he expected some transfer WB to come in. Maybe he thinks he’s better. Maybe he’s fine playing a backup or running QB package role at Iowa, maybe he knows he’s injury prone and would not likely last the whole season as a starter anyway, at least not the way he likes to run.
His history of injuries and his performance in the bowl game will make him not so popular in Iowa. He will most likely be on the bench unless he gets lucky and Gronowski gets injured. He should probably move on to maybe a MAC or lower division school if he wants to get playing time.Sullivan runs from competition - as we saw with us. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t bail on Iowa.
They brought in Hank brown too another transfer QB from auburn. We signed Stone who has proven he can play at this level. Lujan has a stud QB now let’s see what he can do.I still find it odd that Gronowski didn’t seem interested in reconnecting with Lujan by coming to NU. Should that tell us something about Lujan? Or was Gronowski still undecided about entering the portal when Stone became available? I suppose we’ll never know.

A few other possibilities come to my mind. They may have been effective co-workers but perhaps not pals. He may have preferred the Iowa academic workload to NU's, or he may have preferred a more consistent winner than our rebuild.I still find it odd that Gronowski didn’t seem interested in reconnecting with Lujan by coming to NU. I agree. A player like him is thinking past graduate studies which I imagine are fairly demanding at NU. Besides that, NU picked up a prized QB already.A few other possibilities come to my mind. Iowa’s QBs got pretty beat up last season. We have our QB and Iowa is not on our schedule next year, so it will be interesting to watch what happens to Iowa. Will Sullivan transfer to get playing time at some G5 program?
Or the staff wanted Stone.I still find it odd that Gronowski didn’t seem interested in reconnecting with Lujan by coming to NU. Should that tell us something about Lujan? Or was Gronowski still undecided about entering the portal when Stone became available? I suppose we’ll never know.

He WAS better than Macnamara for them. Neither could pass, at least Sullivan had healthy legs for awhile.I was in the stands when Iowa fans cheered Sullivan replacing McNamara. Tried warning them, they wouldn’t listen.

I’m thinking Sullivan was more pissed at being thought of as lesser than Lausch and might not be as offended with having to compete with and play behind Grownowski, but that’s just speculationSullivan runs from competition - as we saw with us. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t bail on Iowa.
He waited too long and our deal with our QB was already pressed in stone...I still find it odd that Gronowski didn’t seem interested in reconnecting with Lujan by coming to NU. Figures. They like our castoffs.
We needed a QB and Gronoswski was not yet available, Gotta take the bird in the hand over the one in the bushOr the staff wanted Stone.

The bar at Iowa is literally on the ground, but I would argue Sullivan army crawled over it before his injuryLow bar.
How is that different than NU?This is going to be a legitimate test of the “do the QBs suck or is Iowa constitutionally incapable of using them” theory
