This is really a big deal for the Bears. We are not talking Harry and the Hendersons here. He is a great coach. Olin Kreutz, who knows a thing or two about blocking, absolutely worships the guy.

Maybe when Harry wants to slow down in a few years, he can shift his offices a few miles south to Evanston. Would be great for us.

You're right...getting a big raise and going to the NFL had nothing to do with it. They hated Kelly. That's why Hiestand coached under Kelly since 2012. Don't let facts get in the way of your narrative.

ND has been notoriously bad about paying assistants, but has become more competitively lately. It got into a bidding war and ND didn't match TAMU's offer. Happy with the new D coordinator though.
