The inconsistency has been a real problem. Right now, this group doesn't even look like an NIT team. I don't believe last year was a flash in the pan, and I'm not taking anything away from Tap or Sanjay. But on paper, this group should have been in a strong position to make another NCAA tournament, which now looks like a serious uphill climb now. I'll admit to mostly succumbing to the "on paper, we're golden" mentality...I fear that the team (and perhaps the coaches) did, too. Extremely disappointing start.
